ICT Information and Communication Technology Tutor
Mr Don Ho is the resident IT help person at IST. He studied Information Technology as part of his Master of Business Administration and Computer Science as part of his Bachelor of Education. At IST, he has set up a guest wifi and a secure wireless Local Area Network that allows HP, Lenovo, and Dell Windows XP, Vista, Win7, Win8, and Win10 PCs to share with macOS Sierra, OS X El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks, and Mountain Lion MacBooks and iMacs, using the Apple’s AirPort Extreme. Don is also responsible for purchasing new computer software, hardware and peripherals, such as network printers and wifi routers. Don has also implemented his knowledge of databases to create an efficiently integrated system. Furthermore, Don edits IST’s website using HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver. Don recently advised an IB ITGS student on the Extended Essay, which focused on how recent advances in computer hardware could best be leveraged in the Hong Kong dental industry.

Mr Daniel Chan is our resident IT expert, responsible for maintaining the WiFi network and the efficiency of IST’s computer hardware and software. Daniel has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Chemistry from the University of Sydney, Australia. Daniel was accepted into the PhD program at Stanford University, but decided to defer because he enjoys tutoring at International Scholars so much. He is currently tutoring ICT IGCSE to a German Swiss International School (GSIS) student, including topics such as System Design, Development, Testing, and Implementation.
